Before becoming a stylist, I worked in public education for one-quarter of my life. I loved serving my students by developing a collaborative classroom through engagement and experiences while at the same time, I never skimped on looking fly while doing it! I once won the award for the best-dressed teacher. Funny how they knew my destiny too.
Styling is my jam, and it’s more than just slapping on some clothes. It’s all about transforming you from the inside out, boosting your confidence, and bringing out your inner beauty. I have slayed many friends for special events such as weddings, and milestone birthday celebrations. Each one expressed their gratitude by sharing how they felt bold and beautiful. I loved seeing them revived and rejuvenated.
From the time I can remember, my mother was a stylist in her own right. I definitely got my gift for styling from my mama, who’s a total genius when it comes to fashion. Her mind operates like paint thrown on a canvas; no matter how you look at it, it looks good; up, down, back or front. Yup, I’m a chip off the old block!
I have two amazing teenage children who I am very proud of – athletic, intelligent, fun, and kind. One of them is always the first to show love on my social media posts, while the other gives me the tea about styles posted. Both are incredible human beings.
Finally, I saved the best for last, my incredible husband. He is my number one fan and supporter of my passion for personal styling.
